Designated land
Designated land (or designated landscape) refers to areas of landscape identified as importance at international, national or local levels by statue or identified in development plans or other documents. The legislation governing planning permission considers that designated land includes:
- National parks.
- The Broads.
- Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
- Conservation areas.
- World Heritage Sites.
